Unfortunately I was away when the MMQS project went to listen to the dawn chorus - away being in the beautiful counties of Devon and Cornwall - so I joined in remotely. Rising early, with my dog to try to capture the dawn at Hayle Towans. Towans means Dunes - and these stretch for miles along the north west coast of Cornwall, with stretches of sand and the wild atlantic. Torquay by contrast was still and sheltered.
