Guest Blog: Rowans, Solstice + The Great Conjunction
Anne W has gifted us this beautiful timely post, for the Winter Solstice which tells of her own personal Rowan tree and how she is dressing it for the festive season, an Icelandic Myth and another Yule legend. The Fugitive Nature of Time
The expression 'Time Flies' suggests a running away with time - possibly whilst we are doing something fun! Or maybe while are simply looking the other way. I found myself in front of this stone again in Marie Louise Gardens last week. With a friend we stopped and remarked on the stone which is now being used as a general squirrel table and had remnants of their lunch on display. House Pond
Someone who we are keeping in touch with over the lockdown is creating a Reparium and Algae Tank - bringing the outdoors indoors - the Reparium creates an edge of a pond and they keep snails etc in there. They also go to the graveyard and spot mushrooms and are trying to grow a crop of papyrus. "Some pics of the 'house pond' - we fixed up, landscaped and planted an old tank the binmen helped me drag in last year. Too small for anything but the snails, which are plenty amus
